I love to teach and preach, develop and implement vision, get people excited about evangelism and discipleship, and develop leaders. At Grace Fellowship I have the opportunity to preach and teach, help to develop vision and see people become impassioned about evangelism and discipleship. Carol and I are tremendously glad to have the privilege of being a part of leading Grace Fellowship because of the vision and our desire to be a part of a growing Christ-following church!

I have served in ministry for 25 years as a Student Pastor, Executive Pastor and Senior Pastor. I am married to Carol, who is slightly better than the Proverbs 31 woman.  Therefore my nick name for her is "huna 32" (one chapter better than the Proverbs 31 woman). We have three children, Laura who is an ER nurse, Katie who is an artist attending The College of Creative Studies in Detroit and Marc who is a cook at a cool restaurant.  They all presently reside in Michigan. We sensed God calling us to Grace Fellowship and are extremely glad we followed His desire for our lives.

I am a perfectionist (but selectively so), I love to cross things off my LISTS, I am a neat freak, and I am passionate about my husband and my grand-babies!  Here at Grace my job is to make sure that our staff team is happy and well taken care of, that our ministries have all the resources they need to be all they can be, that our building and surrounding grounds give a good first impression, and that we are using God’s money and all of our resources wisely. It gives me great joy to be a part the staff team at this exciting time in Grace’s history.  I am learning and stretching and anticipating each new day with its challenges and opportunities.

  My all time favorite singer is Michael W. Smith. Classical music relaxes me and I also love Celtic Thunder.  I really enjoy all kinds of music, so it’s kind of hard for me to narrow it down to 3 artists or groups.  I even listen to Country occasionally (please don’t tell my kids!)

  I am reading The Resilient Life by Gordon MacDonald, and it has had a huge impact on my thinking (I think to appreciate this book you need to be in the “2nd half” of life—no comments, please). I would also highly recommend anything by Francine Rivers.

  I am a die-hard New England Patriots fan (have been for 35 years, sorry!). I would have to say that beyond that, I don’t really give a rip about sports teams!

I am passionate about community outreach.  There are so many opportunities for a Christ-follower to identify with people in the community and build relationships that ultimately introduce people to Jesus. Here at Grace Fellowship I oversee Sunday and Wednesday educational programs for those who attend Grace.  I also oversee our Small Group and Outreach ministries. I enjoy helping and seeing Christ-followers engaged in ministry.  It is very rewarding to see God take His people and lead them into succinct ministry positions as they grow up in their faith.

I love being a Christ-follower and I passionately love my wife, Tricha.  I enjoy spending time with my son, Ryan, and his wife, Jess and my son, Dan, and his girlfriend, Jessica.   I’m also passionate about my extended family and close friends. As the Pastor of Worship Arts I enjoy having the opportunity and privilege to make Sunday Worship Celebrations effective and dynamic. Using Worship and the Arts I design opportunities to encourage spiritual growth and outreach to future Christ-followers. I am excited to lead people into a spirit of worship . 

Before coming to Grace I served as a Worship Pastor in three other churches; my first experience while still attending college.  My wife, Tricha, is beautiful inside and out with a servant’s heart that’s active everyday.  I enjoy life experiences best when she’s a part of them.  Ryan and his wife Jess live in Charleston, SC, and are active at Seacoast Church.  Dan is a professional singer/songwriter/performer.

I am passionate about my family and friends, work and play and about just being real.  I love to pull off events and projects that have big impact.  My mama always taught me that a job worth doing is a job worth doing well.  At Grace I serve as the Technical Director.  I oversee the technical end of the look and feel of what happens each week at Grace.  I manage our great crew of Technical volunteers, our I.T. infrastructure and mechanisms needed to publish our website. I enjoy being on a creative productive teams in order to clearly communicate the values of Grace.

My wife Sharon and I have been blessed with four beautiful girls, Esther, Hope, Brooke and Sara.  We love growing together on the journey of life and have learned to take every day and make it great because we don't know what tomorrow holds, we just know God's mercies are new each morning.  Before coming to Grace Fellowship I worked at a couple of great Audio Visual companies working in live event production running concerts and festivals. I also have  experience and knowledge in installed audio, video and lighting. I really enjoy working with people who love pulling off successful events and projects with excellence.

I am a passionate follower of my Savior, Jesus Christ and love to see others do the same.  I’m crazy about my wife and five kids.  I love people, enjoy working with my hands and am always up for a game. As the Student Pastor, I seek to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ who desire personal life change, minister to each other and compassionately impact those within their sphere of influence. I get to share God’s truth with teens, spend crazy times with my students and leaders and use my creative juices to continue to develop a community where students love to be a part.

Laura and I have a clan made up of 5 or 6 children: David, Andrew, Benjamin, Elizabeth and Hannah…and sometimes me.  Our quality time is spent on soccer, softball, drums, guitar, piano, trampolines, movies, hikes, museums, food, smack-down wrestling, reading and more food. Before coming to Grace Fellowship I had the privilege of serving as the Student Pastor at Westbrook Church in Hartland, Wisconsin where I enjoyed ten years of fruitful ministry.

BASIC STUFF
At Grace Fellowship I direct all the aspects of our Women's Ministries. I oversee our weekly and bi-weekly Bible studies, teaching on a regular basis. I work with teams coordinating events like our annual retreat and Breakaway Day for Moms; and I get to help plan new events and ministries.  I love being with and working with women.  And what truly excites me is seeing women catch a vision and begin doing what God wants them to do, whether it's applying a Biblical principle, stepping forward to serve or beginning to lead in ministry.  I am passionate about the Word of God. I love studying it and I love figuring out ways to communicate its truth in ways that make it easy for women to understand and apply it. I am also passionate about Peanut M&Ms!

I spent 3 years with Campus Crusade for Christ and 8 Years with a brokerage firm.  But for the 14 years leading up to joining the Grace Fellowship staff I was a full time mom and homemaker and my main activities revolved around Play-doh, trips to the library and Mr Rogers. My husband Matthew and I have been married since 1980 and have three wonderful children. Priscilla who loves animals. Charley who loves music, movies and Civil War history. Lydia who loves talking with her friends 24/7.
